the other day i bought one of these for $50, just to get the 40 odd rounds of 6.5x54M/S that came with it, and now i need to dump the gun. it's got the double set triggers, bore isn't exactly stellar, the rifleing is there, but very dark. came with 2 clips. whats the most i can expect for this thing?

cooey imported and sporterized a bunch of italian carcanos once upon a time, and chambered them in the original 6.5x52 as well as 6.5x54 Mannlicher Schonauer. this one is 6.5x54. if i can't sell it my other alternative is to sacrifice one case fill it full of blue dot, and tie a very long string to the trigger...;)

i don't know, i suppose you could, probably wouldn't be worth. are you interested tom?for you, bring me a bucket of chicken, some fries and gravy and it's yours!

No, do not rechamber it to 6.5 x 55. it is not a strong action and the Eaton's Cooey conversions were of dubious quality.

By clips do you mean the stripper clips"? If so, i would like those Kev. Send me a message, or better yet, I'll send you one.

I'm a little on the sick side, but I've taken to collecting them. I've bought several for anywhere from $75-125, so you did exceptionally well IMO.

Not to raise two sh*t storms in one day, but the action it's built on is exceedingly strong - and I've proven that to be true. A case full of Unique didn't kill it, so Blue Dot would do less - Bullseye now maybe (Hmmm, my next project?)
