Value of a couple levers

I may have to sell some firearms in the near future and I am curious what these ones are worth. Thanks!

-1947 Winchester 1894 30 WCF. Excellent bore, some wear/blueing loss on the receiver tang area. Redfield peep sight.
-1979? Marlin 1894 357. JM marked, excellent microgroove bbl. Williams peep site.

Thanks! I wasn't really certain as I haven't done any buying/selling of firearms in years. My guess was close for the Winchester but I've only seen newer Marlins in the EE lately.

Those estimates are a little high imo, particularly the Winchester. Model 94's of that vintage weren't drilled and tapped for peep sights at the factory. Collectors won't like that, and somebody looking for a shooter can find cheaper options. Probably 1000-1100.

The Marlin I'm less sure of, but I think it would be a long time moving at 1800.

I think even $1000 for that 94 is a little heavy. Marlin, not so sure.

The 94 is a flat band model which some may pay a premium for but as others have said, it's been modified for the receiver sight install which puts off the collector.

Standard clean serviceable M94 hunting rifles have been bringing $800 plus commission, plus tax in the auctions. Yours should bring that much.
The Marlin is also a nice one. A good thing about the Marlins is that they feed .38Specil as well as .357. I'd expect t least thousand, perhaps more.

Those will be gone in a blink of an eye at a g-note.
Flat band should fetch $1200.

The Winchester
To me it’s worth more because it has the red field sight.
Red field sight is period correct. Makes the gun a better shooter.
I would value the Winchester way more than any marlin.
But I shoot my guns and enjoy them.

Struff is in the ball park for good starting prices, and points out the soft market due to the Justinomics of the last decade.....
Might be a tad high on the Winchester for reasons mentioned.

I prefer it with the peep sights, the non click adjustable redfield 102 is a nice old peep sight.

A Rossi .357 these days is probably around 1200 plus tax new.... the old Marlin would not last long at $1000.00
$1000 after tax gets you a Turkish made .357 these days the Marlins are almost twice that.

Tiriaq is in the ball park if you want to sell them in less then a week, possibly same day.... maybe not the best starting price.

I was hoping you'd say that. I sold a mint flat band with Redfield sight many years ago and always regretted it.

For a mid range lever rifle. Not a pistol cartridge or a 45/70 size case but for a mid size lever rifle. Pre 64 can’t be beat!
I see uberti selling reproduction 1894s now and they are two plus grand. I would rather an original.
Not that long ago I paid quite a bit of money for a reproduction climbing Lyman for a 1894 26” rifle. Drilled the receiver to mount it. No regrets!
I’ve got three pre 64 carbines as well. Like Frosted Flakes,They’re GREAT!
