Value of a Ithaca grade 7 trapgun

This is part of an estate and the owner would like to get an idea of value then possible put it up for sale
The gun must have been refinished at some point as it is in great shape for a 1919/1920 gun
The butt pad has been replaced with a black Old English pad
There is very little wear on the face around the firing pin
As i don t know how to post pictures i will gladly send to a email address
Any help would be appreciated

I have a 4e and when i sent pictures and serial number to ithaca several years ago they responded with information and estimated the value at $2500.
You maybe able to email them for a similar request
 
Found this while doing a bit of research on the differences between the Flues & Knickerbocker SBT guns.

From the author of the article:

"Emil Flues developed the first Ithaca SBT, he was a gunsmith for Ithaca at the time, hence the nickname of the gun. The "Knick" version came about in 1922 and was designed by Frank Knickerbocker, hence the nickname. The "new" lockup system was touted as being a better design than the Flues gun. There were multiple versions of the Flues gun while only one of the Knick. Due to the fact that the Knick lockup is "supposed" to be superior to the Flues the earlier guns tend to bring a much lower price than the Knick guns. If you are getting interested in Ithaca SBT guns you should pick up Walter Snyder's book The Ithaca Gun Company, From the Beginning. They are great guns and for me handle better that a Parker, LC Smith or any of the other SBT's."

Definitely a bigger collector market in the USA. "Blue Book of Gun Values" lists up to $6000 USD. Google search to Guns International gives pics and $$$$'s of many similar items. You need a 'hands-on' evaluation by a pro for that one. I used a trap single for a while, superb gun.
 
A Ithaca sbt 7E sold on guns international for $6000 the selling price was substantially less than the asking price . Precedent set .
Also a 6 e listed for 5400$ with a make a offer behind it .
A hard sell in the USA in Canada a real hard sell
