value of a mauser

i have a Mauser mod. 98 in 8mm.
this rifle is pretty flawless, not a scratch, no pitting...
i don't have any pictures at the moment, i'm just looking a rough value on this rifle or anything else i should know about it.

There are so many variations that it is impossible to say w/o pictures or more details. Is it a military version? Commercial Oberndorf? Custom by a reputable gunsmith or a bubba? The differences in value could be ten-fold, or more.

Post pics, list markings, you'll have a much better chance of getting a good ID and value. - dan

Like the guys said, more info needed. There are so many different types of Mauser rifles in 8mm out there that it is impossible to say what you have. Commercial, military, bubba'd military etc. Even in military mausers, you could have anything from an all matching serial numbers German wartime manufacture(over $3000 in flawless shape you describe) to a Turkish made mauser or something similar valued at $250-$300.
