If you are talking about this side of the stock/picture, the kinda of *dot* is like kinda of knot in the wood/wood grain pattern.
There is also a reflect at the end of buttstock...
No but it starts at the knot, looks about 2.5 inches square with straight sides, maybe some kinda reflection but looks like something was stuck to it or on it or a stain repair. Maybe try another angle! Are the buttplate screws a bit rough or corroded?
The rifle is packaged and ready to ship. I will unbox it again... and takes other pics.
The screws are like in the pics, they are a little rough, I would not say corroded but they do like weird.
Replacement screws should be easy to find, well I think.
Personally, I would reblue them but because I'm looking to sell, I will leave them like that.

This is only the woodgrain that change in this area. In some angle/lightning conditions, you can see it, in other conditions you don't.
My old IPhone ( which I take all those pics ) make it pop more than it is in reality.
This is the best pics I can get, other than that, you will have to trust my Trader Rating

Yea that's about what I was thinking, hard to find them for sale with out the crossbolt safety.

Well the preious owner told me he still had the box but finally he told me today he can't find it.
So there is already a strike. Can't say its NIB when there is no box..
The buttpad marks and screws are probably damaged from years of storage in the safe...
Minus that, it looks new to me.
I'm always very honest with the stuff I sell. I never try to hide anything, hence why I shown a good pic of the buttpad and screws.
I think I can say I have an Excellent 100% Trader Rating and I do not intend to dirty my name with this Winchester.
I just want to know what's this rifle worth...
