value of a sako

i have a sako AIII in 7mm rem mag wearing a mcmillan hunter stock. thinking i may put it up for sale to fund a marlin .450 lever action. what do u think its worth

To a Sako Collector:
If it had the original stock, and everything was in very good condition, then perhaps $1000
With the after-market stock, less.

To a Hunter:
Perhaps more than $1000, depending of course on condition.

It's not my business, and I don't mean to offend, but you are taking a step down from the Sako by going to a Marlin.

i have 5 sako rifles now including a sako 85 7mm rem mag. but ive decided to keep it and maybe turn it into a custom long range shooter such as a 7mm stw or 6.5. besides i would never sell it for less than $1000 with a mcmillan stock on it. i got a great stock and its a great action so now all i need is a new barrel to turn it into something better
