I've seen some model 24 combo guns going for some crazy prices and I'm curious what my very good condition model 24f synthetic stocked 30-30/20ga combo would be worth. only problem with it is the front sight is missing otherwise it would be excellent condition. If you sold one recently what did it go for? Thanks for your input.

I think that combination would command a higher price than what you would expect. It would allow the hunter to be able to hunt deer and grouse at the same time which is a good option here in the Maritimes. I think that it would probably sell for about $550.

I use a BRNO 7x57R over 12ga with IC choke. Great gun for a guy who figures out that killing deer is less important than just enjoying the day afield. That Savage would offer the same versatility.

Agreed. ;)We've been down this road previously and again, I have a very similar outfit to yours, 7x57R/12ga. Sans scope but I do have an additional set of 12ga. OU barrels. For my needs, it's the ideal combination for here on the 'wet' coast, walking old logging skid roads on those wet windy days when you're just as likely to run into a Ruff Grouse as a Blacktail.

There is one around locally with scope that looks very much like yours that a local gunsmith had on his table at the last gun show. Another gun show in Duncan this weekend, I'll see if it's still available.
Question Paul, any 7x57R loads you'd like to share?

What was the price on it? Those BRNOs have the worst trigger I've seen on any rifle. Need to pull with both hands to see it fire.

I've only got one load for mine. Shoots about 1.5" with and old Weaver K2.5 with P&CH reticle that I have refurbed. I've not shot it over the chrony.

45.5gr WW760
154gr Hornady RN
Rem 9 1/2 mag primer
3.110" OAL
Norma brass, neck sized.

Nice combo gun, I have a similar on in 12ga over 7x65R . It is a BRNO Rifles model 802.3. I really like mine too.

The iron sights on it aren't the greatest though and I wanted to scope mine.

What kind of mount do you have on yours?

My receiver is dovetailed with a dovetail groove slot across (not drilled and tapped)

The CZ website shows a mount for a BRNO 802 and TradeEx has one as well but they are for drill and tap mount with rounded bed.

Any info would be on type and source would be appreciated

I want that 30-30/20g! But alas my wife wants/needs a new washing machine. And I don't think a galvanized tub and wash board is gonna cut it! lol
