Anyone give a value on one of these presses? I'm trying to help a widow out on a estate sale . She has 2 , one in 38sp and one in 45. Lots of extra parts and dies

Ill put my neck out and say 400-500, I hope some one else pipes up here, cause I'm just guessing! I do not have one of these nor have I seen one for sale, I have read about them, and know that STAR makes a quality lube sizer!

Good Luck!

does it have add-ons such as auto indexing, or electric case feeder

There no electric case feeder but there is some kind of funnell on top that it looks like you hand shake and the cases go down the tube. It does index when you pull the handle. There is also 2 lube sizers or at least I think that what they are, they are a separate unit.

I have a couple of Stars, and the last ones I've seen on the market went for about $650. Since most were set up for only one caliber, and there's less and less bullseye shooters, everyone wants a Dillon nowadays. But they were and still are a Cadillac machine. I'd be interested in the sizers.

the sizers should sell quick at around @200.00, a new one is @250.00. The reloaders depend on caliber, I bought a .38 progressive on the EE for $300.00, a .45 would be more than that. Ebay may be your best bet.

Keep in mind they went out of business in the 90's so replacement parts might be a problem. Personally, that would seriously limit the appeal for me especially since I can get a new Hornady or Dillion for a few hundred dollars and have access to lots of parts and accessories as well as warranty support. Your best bet would be to find someone that already has one and would like another as a spare.
