Value of a UMP and a G36?

by value do you mean how much you have to pay to get one or what they are really worth?

Since HK made a stink about 'their' guns ending up in civy hands and no more are in canada the prices have inflated nicely.

In any case $6k is probably as cheap as you'll see a g36, but it is worth $2000 or maybe $2500 at the most...

***hidin' behind couch***

p.s. by no more i mean no more g36's... not all of HK

I think LE departments pay between $850-1000USD for them. What you have to pay and what they are worth are truly two different things. I will stick with my ARs thanks....

Man, just think about how much money HK is missing out on by not selling to civilians? If there are people out there will to pay over $6K for a single firearm, I'm sure there's plenty of profit to be had in that. Foolish decision (keeping the guns from us) if you ask me.

they are starting to smarten up. They seem to be directing focus at sport shooters.
There are also new production facilites in the USA.

It's not HK's decision from what I understand: it's the German law that prohibits the selling of german-made military arms to civilians. If the G-36 end-up being made OUTSIDE germany, then HK will sell them...

HK wont even sell there new AR upper to civilians. When some of there dealers did they started saying the uppers where stolen and went nuts. HK does not care about civilians. You can tell from there warranty service. There main markets are LEO and MIL, they feel the could live without Civilians all together.

HK has no plan to sell to civilians, wether they build a factory in the US or not.
