Weatherby Vanguard (NOT the Series 2 from what I understand) in .223, 20" barrel, synthetic stock, blued, essentially new in box. What's a typical value these days? I have very little experience with CF rifles, but this looks like a nice little rifle.

These Vanguards have gone up in price that last couple of years.
Probably a brown and orange one.
I would think four brown ones would be a bargain?

I sold a .243 sporter(wood stock) for 600 2 months ago. The gun only had about 50 rounds through it. I included bases as well. I would say that was on the high side. I didn't really want to sell it but he wanted it.

I would say around 400. Considering Cabelas was clearing them out a couple years ago new for 350-450. good guns overall with marginal triggers and stocks. Thankfully series 2 fixed those problems and now are awesome.

I'd pay $450 max (myself) but an essentially new gun usually doesn't have much depreciation around these parts. For some reason, I think the 1:12" twist rate is not really my "optimal" twist as I reload and would like to use bigger than 60 grain bullets. I wouldn't "seek out" this gun for my .223 target shooting, but if a buddy needed to liquidate his guns for money, I would help him out as these guns are solid guns. I have a Howa (almost the same gun, made by the same company) and LOVE IT.

I have shot a friend's .223 Vanguard. You might do better than $500 and if I wanted one I would try to get it for less than that but if $500 was what it took, I expect I wouldn't be sorry to have the rifle rather than the money.

because they cleared a model out at a low price doesn't mean it sits below that. Look up the values of a Rem mountain Ti, they cleared them out for $1200.....good luck finding them less then 2k..used
