Value of - Belgium Browning T bolt .22

Just doing a price check on a Belgium browning T bolt in .22 LR. Overall condition of verg good I'd say (wood excellent, slight blueing wear). Serial number places as 1966 if i read it correctly.

Is it a standard model? The deluxe had a checkered stock and a factory receiver sight.
I would say $350-$400 for one in really good shape and $500 or a little higher for a deluxe.
They are a real nice .22.

I paid $800 for mine, a high grade ( T2) with exceptional wood and in like new condition. That was a very high price, but worth it ( to me) in this instance.
Mike's post above is about right I'd say. Take a set of fitted screwdrivers to the one you are looking at and lift it out of the stock. Some T-bolts had salt cured wood and the metal where it touches the stock may be corroded. If so, and values of salt stock guns is much lower.

Thanks for the explanation about the rust, I bought one at a gunshow once and it looked as new until I got it home and disassembled it. The underside of the barrel inside the forend looked like the inside of a smokestack.

I own one of those, bought new in 1971 in Kelowna.

It truly has cancer, I've tried many approaches to cure it, but the rust just keeps coming back. Too bad, a decent piece otherwise. It's also too bad that Browning got away with this. An incredibly stupid idea - salt cured wood for a gunstock........
