Hi everyone,

I recently purchased these 2 as a package and am starting to worry I got hosed. Wondering what they would be worth if I sold them. The Browning has some dings in the wood which can be seen in the pics. The Beretta wood is in much better shape with a small scratch on the receiver. From the reading I have done this Beretta model is somewhat rare. Hoping someone will know what they are worth.

Thanks,

Beretta is 26" and barrel is not marked with what it will shoot.

Browning is 28" and will shoot both 2 3/4 and 3"

Both are fixed chokes but not sure where it would indicate what they are?

Thanks very much for your help!

Soo...you're worried that you got hosed but you're not giving up what you paid for them? Pardon the suspicion, but that feels more like a fishing expedition.

Proof marks on the barrel flats and base of the barrels will tell you everything you want to know. Browning serial numbers have information encoded too.
Crisp pictures of these will help us to help you.
Minor wood dings can be fixed, as can checkering damage. Pretty well impossible to deal with the scratch on the Beretta receiver. Rare or scarce does not translate into super big bucks.
So much depends on what you paid. Both are obsolete guns, but good quality serious using guns, nothing wasted on adornment but good for the field or clay targets.

You are laughing on this one.
Say you sell them at a fair bargain $900 each. Under good circumstances you might realize a bit more.
Sounds like you did well, to me.
Shoot them and see which one agrees with you. Berettas and Brownings fit quite differently. Usually one brand does not suit as well.

Should be either a 70 or 76 stamped on the barrel of the Berreta- 70 is 2 3/4" and 76 is 3"
Italian guns can be aged from the serial #'s and proof stamps
should be stars on the barrels to indicate the choking

Crushed checkering and dinged up not so much.Did you mention what gauge they are and the chokes as it matters?

Great buy for you! I agree, $800-$900 for either one individually, depending on how quick you want to sell.

Not sure where to find choke markings on the Beretta, but the Browning chokes will be marked on the left side of the barrel using a coded system, as follows:
