Value of Colt Officer's ACP

I'm willing to bet that the Officers in particular hasn't been totally devalued by 12.6. They are a great gun, and they appeal to a lot of shooters (and I know they appeal to a lot of guys with 12.6) and they aren't exactly common. Therefore I'd say an Officers in good shape is a fairly valuable gun. The guns that lost the most value as a result of 12.6 were the relatively common ones (Walthers, Berettas etc), guns like the small Glocks and the Officers are still very popular and due to timing etc, aren't widely available.
 
.. 'Always wanted one, but ended up getting a PPK instead. Price and availability being the deciding factors ! ..... I'd GUESS, somewhere between $500 to $650. A limited market admittedly, BUT, they do have a definite "following". ........ David K
 
I have 12(6) so owning one wouldn't be an issue.... but would still rather have a restricted Commander model over the Officers, personally.

I love shooting it. Belongs to my son. He is selling off the guns he does not use anymore. I told him he should not sell it because it is a nice gun and won't fetch much.

Your answers are not helping me to convince him to keep it.
 
Indifferent 12-6 guns sell cheap. The market for quality pistols is still decent - there are a lot of active shooters with 12-6. Probably not as easy a sell as a restricted. The "its a 12-6 therefore I will only make a low ball offer" is someone looking for a bargain.
 
My son has made me an offer. if i sell two of my Norinco pistols, he will sell me the Colt for $500.

I really like the Colt. I found it very generous on shooting any handloads well.

My Norcs are all shooters. have trigger jobs and well developed handloads that shoot well.

When the deal is done I will have one pistol less, $100 in my pocket and a Colt in the safe. i guess that makes it a no-brainer.
