Value of empty powder containers

A 1lb bottle will hold 500 150grain .303 bullets is all I know. I have a couple for bulk bullets. Haven't figured out too many other uses yet.

I have a collection of cans and jugs that date back to the Fifties they make a nice touch in my reloading room along with old ammo boxes ,photos and such . Reminds me of five dollar a pound days, Nostalgia .

I would never buy them, I’m somewhat shocked anyone would.

I repurpose many of them. I’ll cut them in half to use as open containers or make a scoop out of a jug or just use them to hold bits and pieces. I’ll use them for soaking parts in solvent too. I end up with too many so a certain amount just get chucked out.

I had acquired 9-1lb imr3031 in the metal cans. These were from the 70's. Opened one up and the powder had some rust powder mixed in. I needed empty powder containers to transfer the powder from the metal to plastic. In the process I was able to clean the rust from the powder and the powder still smells great and shoots great too.

When I have one pound containers of the same powder, I mix the powder together back and forth and then pour all of it into one container. The remaining empty container is placed into the recycling bin. This practice leaves me with more storage space.

What i keep around are old classic metal and paper tins that are unique in there own way. The new plastic cans go to recycle bin . A lot of the old packaging is tool cool to throw away more like collectable baseball and hockey cards to me.
