Value Of Enfield MK1 Martini Henry

I found someone wanting to sell a Martini Henry. Everything is original and its in pretty rough shape externally but all the parts are functional and the bore is pretty decent. The cleaning rod is broken but the gun chambers and fires. I just want to make sure the guy selling it isn't asking too much for it. He wants $900. There is no extras like bayonet.

You can get a decent one for $650.
I got a very nice one 2 years ago for $450. Values of course go up depending on condition and type.

For $900 you can get an exceptionally nice one. The one you describe sounds like a $400 rifle.

When I go to take a look at it today. I'll make sure to take pictures of it first and then make him an offer of $400. That way I'll have pictures just in case he wants to toss me out.
