hi all i'd like to make an offer on this beauty but i want to be fair.
it's an FN browining sa22 (the old one).the s/n's match everywhere but lots of patina on the receiver.
the barrel inside is very good and the outside of barrel is good with minor surface rust spots that i cleaned up but is stiil evident
on the closeup pics.all parts there and wood is not cracked or dented(minor dents maybe).
i'm guessing that since s/n info is not available for anything before 1955,it is a late 40's to early 50's model(perhaps even a 1942 but i doubt they were produced during the war).

Links aren’t working, but if it’s the early sa22 it could be made as early as the teens. Is the loading port in the wrist or butt?

i can't get imgur to link direct.you have to hilite each line(hold down left mouse at end of each link and swipe left until line is blue) then right click and "open link in new private window".

the loading port is the old style on top or on the wrist.it is very old before 1956 for sure.slim forearm, old style ladder rear sight(not wheel),old style barrel lock system,no grooves for scope rings on receiver.

thanks i can't get imgur to hotlink.if someone can post for me i'll send the pics to them.
s/n is 140###
i read somewhere they produced about 200,000 before they started to change the way they do the s/n code.by deducing from that i came to 1942.
5000 a year and started in 1914 so add 28 x 5000 gives me 140,000 (not scientific but best i can figure out--if production continued during WWI and WWII)

i'm guessing people are using tablets or phones--you need a mouse probably to get to images.

That gal play'in wid'der bewbie was enlightening.

Without photos a fair price would be in the $400 = oar - range.

ok i finally figured out what you meant there Andy Capp.that came up when i tried to search for the image.

p.s. links worky now:dancingbanana:
