Value of French MAS

in Fact, there is 3 types of Reciver

MAS 36
MAS FR Fx (FRF1 or FRF2)
MAS FR Gx (FRG1 or FRG2 or FRG3) : the FRGX is MAS 36 with some modification like a mag well for MAS FRGx mag

You could meet some hybrid rifle with the MAS36 with FRGx specification : the MASAM (first version of the FRGX with a hybrid mag betewn the MAS36 and the FRGx) and Rebuild rifle MAS36 action and FRF2 barrel and harmonic compensator ( FRF1 or FRF2 handguard and bipod....).

In any case that good rifle

Wish the photo would be clearer but this is the actual reciever & this piece belongs to a gentleman who brought it here when he moved from France.

Thanks, SNMP! That solves the riddle once and for all.
Now I know what I can do with my .308 Winchester converted/sporterized MAS-36: put some nice wood on it, install a good scope base and make a nifty deer rifle with it.

You could build a Rifle with the look of the MAS Fournier Hunting & Sport version of the MAS 36 by MAS
calibers :7x54 Fournier /8 x 60 mm S / 10,75 x 68 mm (very rare, with long receiver)
