A friend wants to buy my High Standard Supermatic Trophy .22 match pistol. It is in mint shape with little rounds through it.
Here is a picture.

The ones at Tradex are great buys, have bought some, but all will have eruo import, proof marks, which for a shooter , don't matter.
Big issue for the collector market . This gun is way better condition than most .
I have one just about the same condition, almost unfired, as blue still on barrel face at 700.oo
A gun like that couple yrs ago would sell in the 6-700.oo price range. That is the price I would have on it.
These days 22 target gun price are a bit off/ slow.
A friend to friend sale is always a bit hard, as you both want a good deal and to be far.
I would say 500.oo, It cost almost that much for a plastic 22 , and these are as good as it gets.
Mags are getting a bit high these days.

Great guns. I had that model before buying a Victor. Gotta be worth at least $500 in such nice shape.

The Sharp-shooter (what I have) have been selling for $500-$550, Supermatic Trophy in that nice a shape should be worth at least $600-700; maybe as much as $800.00. These look the same as the Sharp Shooter; the grips are the same, but usually a bit nicer wood; gold plated trigger, slide stop, safety; they have a trigger overtravel adjustment screw; the barrel is drilled for the addition of barrel weights, and the recesses in the end of the barrel are also for adding a muzzle weight; the rear sight is also fastened to the frame for stability instead of too the slide. In good shape, there is nothing that comes close in fit, finish and function built here. Be mindful that the High Standard was the only North American pistol to win gold at the Olympics.

Ive seen $500.00 to $700.00, why not split the diff & ask $600? If a 3rd mag is in the offer it goes up in value.

These wonderful guns don’t seem to interest the in crowd or new shooters much. They are highly underrated. With the right brand of target velocity ammo only, these HS’s could last forever.

Hey Marshall, can you tell me where on the pistol the import marks are? I have a couple of these and would like to see! Cheers.
OP Marshall has a bunch of experience with these so you can trust his judgement.

I could dig one out in the morning, ,no have to go out, after supper more likely. Will see if I can get a good picture, also have the wife's kitchen island apart installing pull outs, so we will see how the times goes, she don't like slow and pokey, After 50+ yrs she should learn.
I just sold my Olympic 22 sh rapid fire, that had proof marks, I have a citation the same, If I remember, bottom of barrel and rear of slide.
BTW a exc in the box victor went for 1k+ tax, shipping.% yrs ago that would bring 1500.
Triple K makes mags for these, and I have tried some and seem very good, few yrs ago , repo mags where a PITA.
Original HS mags are real hard to find these days, Also in later yrs. HS stopped stamping their name on the bottom of their mags, so a bit hard to tell , unless you have handled as many as I have. The slant grip models where stamped , up to maybe 104 or so.

I am still looking for a set of lefty grips, my trophy looks exactly like his, very clean muzzle on both mine are spotless.

O.K. guys to continue, after a bit away and forgetful.
Here is a picture of the pistol and the import ,proof marks on the under side of the barrel, on this one , there are none on the frame on this one.
Meroh, maybe I was not clear, these marks are when the guns go from Hi- Standard into Europe, everything has to be proofed there.
Has nothing to do with bringing them into Canada
Bobdbldr, I will check my stock, it is all packed away as we have no gunshow these days.
One time I made a left hand panel for a fellow, took a RH one and took the finger rest off, and recheckerd it so it was for a left hand shooter.
I believe that was for a 103 slant grip, but same idea. BTW, I do a lot of wood work.
I will did out what I have and let you know, I have some spare panels, think all right hand. P.M. in a few days .

BTW , I just looked at Trade Ex again and stock # SKU 9876 is a 106 Trophy, Hi Gloss finish and you can really see the stamps on the frame and barrel of that one.

Yes, proof marks. I was understanding the UN ones that some firearms have on them.
