value of Mauser 1888 commisson rifle?

Hi does anyone have knowledgeable comment on a value range for a mauser in original condition with a steel jacket around the bbl, if it were in average condition without any major issues? I don't have a picture to post, but believe the pics at the below link are representative of the gun I am curious about.

There are four major variants of the 1888, not including carbines:

The 1888
The 1888/05 (most common in Canada)
The 1888/14
And the 1888/38.

It will depend which version you have, whether it's been refurbished or modified in turkey, and it's overall condition.

But without pictures and a better description, I'd suggest it is worth between $150 and $1500.

As Claven2 said - with no pictures it's hard to say. Even if you're sure it's 88/05 the presence of absence of Turkish markings could drastically change the price. In 99% of gew88 encounter you will see Turkish overhauled 88/05 that go for $300-400.
