Hi, I've recently been given a reloading setup. I'm not in to reloading , not for the amount I get out shooting anyways.
I've never had anything to do with reloading so don't really know a fair value to ask for it.

It comes with RCBS rock chucker single stage press
RCBS rotary case trimmer
RCBS case lube kit
RCBS model 10.10 reloading scale
RCBS case loading block
RCBS die sets 25/06. 270 Win. 22/250
RCBS burring tool
RCBS #3 shell holder
Powder funnel
Speer reloading book vol 10 and few other small rcbs parts in bags

Everything is in excellent shape most is still in boxes or not used

Thanks for any help

hang on to the gear, might want to reload some day. I had my father-in-laws reloading gear for over 10 years before I started to reload, some of the die sets he had I have not even used yet. It cost you nothing to keep it and the reloading gear will not really lose value as the new reloading gear will actually go up in price. can always sell it later.

The case trimmer, 10-10, and press are the big ticket items worth multiple hundreds of dollars.

I'd keep it if I were you. Those three items are quality and will last forever.

If space is an issue and dollars are not, sell it. You can always buy new stuff later. If there is even the slimmest chance you or your kids or a friend will reload one day, keep it. That is good gear you have there.

Similar story here. I bought a press, scale and powder mesure for peanuts when I was younger. It took me 20 years to finaly start reloading and I've been addicted since.

You have good gear there! Think about it before selling it. To get an idea on how much to ask for, compare with the price of a new RCBS kit. Check Budget Shooter Supply in the banner. Henry had some RCBS gear last time I checked.

$250 or so. - dan

not likely.... if he wants to sell it for that price i'll pay it within 3 minutes and pay shipping too... plus i'll pay him 20 bucks for his time to pack it up

more like 180 or so just for the 10/10 scale (depending on condition, if it's beat up less of course), 100-120 for the trimmer, not sure on the press but certainly more than the negative 50 bucks this post suggests....

The RCBS reloading kit with a Rock chucker, powder thrower, scale (not a 10-10), hand priming tool and a few other small parts runs around $350 new. He has no powder thrower or priming tool but the trimmer, better scale. die sets, etc. easily offset that in price. If condition is as described it would be a good deal even at $300-$350.
