Value Of Savage 110 22-250

You can guy a new Savage with a wood stock and sporter barrel for just over $500 and it has the Accu-trigger on it. You can also get a Stevens 200 with synthetic stock and blued barrel which is basicly a pre Accu-trigger Savage. They sell for $299 right now.....I just ordered my son one in .22-250. A little mor einfo on the gun your taling about is needed. Scope...what kind and power? Rings? Bases? Accu-trigger?

a Savage 110 is a long action,..the 22-250 is a short action cartridge...not a big problem but short action Savages are available now.

It could be an early medium action Savage from the 60's, a model that was shorter than a standard 110 but longer than the current short action Model 10

Not wanting to spark a Remington v.s. Savage debate I'll start by saying they're both great for different reasons.

If you want a used rifle, get a Remington 700 instead. They're the easiest to work on and trick out with after market acessories.

If you want a Savage, get a new one. I know from personal experience that it's hard to sell them used regardless of how nice they are. I like Savage's out of box accuracy but if you want to play around with accessories, go with a Remington.

With a Remington 700 in 22-250, when you burn the throat out after a few thousand rds, you can easily have the chamber reamed out to .220 Swift and have more fun.

Any way hope this makes your decision easier.
