Value of this K43

It just isn't worth it. If someone paid more for a lessor example they are an idiot. I guess I can't blame the seller, but the buyer certainly overpaid. A Sanded and varnished gun isn't collectible.

You're saying if you were in the market you would gladly pay over $2000 for this? Haha have at it.

Several nice vopo went for like $2000 to $2500 in the past year.

Was checking that one out, wouldn't want to touch that one looking at that serial number on the bolt carrier, to bad though, nice gun the AC44 K43 with the window on the reciever

The people on here saying that a Vopo is worth more than 2k either don't own a G/K43 at all or they only own 1 and it's a Vopo they overpaid for I bet. I've owned a half dozen and still have 3 so I am more than aware of what kills value, what is worth what and what to look for if you want to part with over 2k for a G/K43.

Quit being jealous or whatever your personal reasons are for calling solid advice "low balling" CGN is where folks come for advice and then immediately dismiss advice they don't like.

Agreed, if anyone suggesting $2000 a low ball for this gun, man up and make a cash offer of more. Hahah

I think a really nice vopo with German wood could be ok up to $2500 but never more. And is place original with dicked stock below a vopo. Wood is not easily encountered for these guns.

This is getting better - half the people commenting were not even on the G43 Forum prior to the K98 Forum, neither were they founding members to the K98 Forum or referenced in the Vol I of their K98 Book or will they be referenced in Darrin Weavers updated version of Hitlers Garands.

I guess after owning over a dozen G/K43's I know nothing???

I might as well sell my original scopes/mounts and all matching rifles including VOPO's…..

I only stated the value because I know of similar rifles that sold for the equivalent prices I quoted or higher values - which are realized selling prices and hence the going rate.

Groan….

Hi,

I asked earlier, perhaps you would share with us something in your collection of K98k's and G/K43's and tell us a bit more about them?

I would imagine with your contributions to those forums and books you would have something to share with us?

edit: I see you've added a photo, hard to see much there would love to see more details.

Regards,
-Steve

Kyle? lol. You would pay more then $2k for this? Really?

I know where I did my k43 and k98k learning. And it was from guys posting quality rifles in detail.

I think buying sanded varnished guns for collecting purposes is lunacy. Ask Darin weaver or the k98k guys how sanding and varnishing affects value and desirability.

I consider vopo basically the bottom end as it is. At least they were official and not sanded. End of the day I'm a purist, and maybe a non purist sees things differently. I'm not even up for restoring guns as collectibles.

I just helped a fellow member who got conned by a known member here. The rifles stock it totally screwed and he paid $2800 and was assured it was correct. It sure as he'll isn't and Buddy is pissed he spent that much on it. He knows with. Or worth anything near that in its dicked condition. Finding any old person to dupe and get $2600 or whatever is doable but to a person who know what they are looking at, this gun isn't worth tons.

I'm done with this thread. Guys in canada want to pay $3k for sanded shooters have at it. There sure are plenty of dicked guns to go around.
