I was thinking about selling my Moose rifle, since I dont moose hunt no more. What do you guys think would be a fair price for my rifle. It is a mid 1980's model Remington model 700 BDL monte carlo walnut stock in .300 win mag. Its not in perfect shape, but it is in good shape, just the usual wear from hunting over the years. It shoots excellent, excellent bore, and very accurate. I put a $70 limsaver recoil pad on it also.
What do you guys think I should ask for it without the scope and with the scope( 2 year old Burris Fullfiel II 3x9x3 ballisticplex ) I paid $300 plus tax for the scope and I also installed butler creek flip up lenses.
This rifle sells for about $1000 new at most places I have scene, so I was thinking about asking
$700 without scope
$950 with the scope and rings, mounted ready to hunt.
Does this sound like a fair, and a realistic price or does this sound a bit too much?
Let me know what you guys think I should ask for it?
Im not desperate for the money so I dont want to get dinged to badly on it.
