Quite frankly, Stovepipe, that may be "how it works with anything else you buy", but has not been my experience that it works that way with used rifles.
Everyone likes to get a great deal, and occasionally one comes along, but if a rifle has been well taken care of, it is certainly worth more than 75% of new price. As well, many new guns are not worth as much as some older guns. 'Boo has given a very good example of this with his older BDL vs new SPS.
I agree. If the price is too high, just ignore it or wait for it to come down.
