Hello,

I have an acquaintance who wants to sell a few firearms he inherited. Any feedback would be appreciated. There are pictures provided via Picasa web albums. The links have been included.

1) A Winchester 94 pre-64, circa 1958 in 30-30.

2) An Iver Johnson Hercules side-by-side in .410. It has double triggers, a solid rib, and has a 26-inch barrel.

3) A Baikal double rifle in 45-70 model MP-221.

Thanks!

Well when i tried to load the photo's no dice.

But ballpark

Pre 64 30-30...450-600 depending on condition.
Iver johnson 410 sxs....perhaps $300-450 as a range again depending on condition
Baikal SxS 45-70....new they are $800-1000....so less than that.

It all comes down to this simple statement....they are worth what someone will pay for them....and without working photo's very hard to estimate.

Ok...I tested these links from my end and they work. The first ones I did not test. I simply copied and pasted directly from the "link to this album" option without trying them out.

Reset Photo links - all work from my end.

Ok...I pasted and re-pasted each link a few times into an address bar and they worked each time. I've done this dozens of times before and never had any problems...

I am open to suggestions if they still fail for other people...

I agree with nowarningshot without seeing pics except the little Iver .410 may fetch a higher price from someone who collects Iver Johnson products as they are rather scarce.

Alternative Picture posting method - Google Plus Photos

It would seem there may be "issues" posting from Picasa web albums if you have google plus activated, which is the case in my situation. The picasa web album links work at first and then cease to function, or function intermittently. Here are the links to the firearms using google plus photo links:

Hopefully this resolves the issue before I drive everybody crazy...

I have sold two Baikals recently in good shape for $800 each
the Ivor Johnson is super shape would be Round $250-$350 the Hercules was not a high end gun. the 30/30? No idea !

You'll probably sell the Winchester for $450 all day. Couldn't hazard a guess for the Iverson. Someone will give you $800 or so for the Baikal.

I eventually got workable links and posted them in a subsequent post called "Alternative Picture posting method - Google Plus Photos." Judging from some of the private messages I received, some people did not see that post, or gave up trying.

The 410 would get $400 easy just before hunting season.
The baikal is a $750-800 gun no prob. I love mine
The 3030 will go for around $400. A lil more if someone really wants a pre 64

I think most are low on the Win 94. If in very good condition you should get $800 or so for it. I see the post 64 guns in rough shape making $500+ at auction all the time.

It's still a garden variety carbine. The numbers you are throwing out are reasonable for a rifle, but it would have time be an extraordinary carbine to justify that price.

OP, if you can get $800 for that carbine, grab it and run. I wonder if CSC will put their money where their collective mouth is.

"$400-450 for the Winchester. It would have to be NIB with hang tags to get anywhere near $800. "

I would agree, but EE and some gun show asking prices would conceivably be higher than that.

I often see more Winchester 94 rifles walking around in plastic bags under people's arms than any other rifle at shows. Something about them really appeals to the younger newish shooter demographic.

Because the young guys aren't sophisticated enough to appreciate the Savage 99.
