That would be a pretty cool thing to have if you were restoring an original Whitworth with a bad bore. What is the going rate for a new BP barrel? It should be worth at least as much as one of those, probably more. I guess you could always use it as a crowbar. 
"IF" it really is an original and it is marked with makers name etc. it could be worth many dollars to the right person. The very best ML barrels made today are in the $300.00 - $400.00 range and I believe with the historic significance it could be worth at least double that if not more. Dave
It's only worth what someone is willing to pay. Border Barrels in the UK will make anything for you and have it engraved with whatever your heart desires.... Also, finding a Whitworth will a bad barrel requiring replacement will be the big issue
-I think he's talking about a Whitworth pattern barrel with hexagonal rifling, not external profile. Among other things, Whitworth came up with a pattern of polygonal rifling that was said to give very good accuracy. I've seen & handled Parker-Hale reproductions, but never fired them or originals. Yes it is suppose to be a original Whitworth barrel with the hexagonal rifling.
I was not aware of anybody making the hexagonal barrel besides the ones that Parker Hale had made. I do know of one Whitworth with a badly pitted barrel but the person does want to sell it and also would not change the barrel because of the serial numbers.
