Hmmmmm.... a lot of people say barrel hasn't been cut because the sights were reinstalled afterwards and recrowned. Probably best to get barrel length from muzzle to front or back of reciever ring.

Also, bayo lug has been cut..... does that mean it's still full wood and just the lug has been cut, the front band is missing, the wood shortened or what? These will affect the value by several hundred dollars.

Also, by correct sights does he mean the diopter sights above the reciever or sporter sights on the barrel? Is it a sporterised military ross or a factory sporter?

A picture of the whole gun would be best, but very detailed description would work as well.

Stock is beyond restoration.
If the bore is sharp, it could be a good shooter, as is; or the barrelled action could be used to upgrade a complete rifle with a poor bore.
That's about a $150 rifle.
 
Why would you say the wood is beyond restoration? One could do some custom lathing and covetailing to bring it back. It would never be original, mind.

Too much wood has been removed. The grip has been reshaped. The forend is not only shortened, it is thinned down to the point that there is no trace of where the band was. Enough wood has been taken off the left side that the receiver ring is exposed.
 
I have a couple with stocks that have had that done to them. Only solution is to restock with new wood.... if somebody would turn out a batch.

There are enough rifles in this condition that I think somebody turning them out at a FAIR price could get rid of a hundred sets on this website alone.

Tiriaq is exactly correct. $150 at the most really. (and sadly)

Not restorable, zero parts available.

As for repro full length stocks...know anyone who can do it?

Priced it including wood, duplication, inletting and installation?

Anyone who's willing to strip a complete rifle and risk his stock as a pattern, only to get it back scratched up?

Taken into account the lack of value in a restored rifle with no history, no factory markings and cartouches?

Sigh.
