I have been looking for awhile for a 12.3 BREN GUN. I have a couple of options that have been made available. If condition is similar what is the most desirable an original BREN MKI an original BREN MKII an original Bren MKIII and a BREN MK I that was converted to a MKIII in Ishpore relative to each other. Most valuable to least. Do certain makers bring more money like an INGLIS over an ENFIELD?
Again condition being comparable . I like the idea of getting an original MKI

THANKS

I would suggest an all matching original mk1 (not a mk1m) made by Inglis with the double dovetail receiver, the bipod with extendable legs, and the early buttstock with the shoulder strap and butt handle would be the most desirable. Although not Cdn, one of the 7.62 conversions would also be desirable.

Shame they are so difficult to get to shoot in this country.

If we could get rid of some of the inane laws and be able to take these out to play, law abiding citizens would drive up the prices considerably from what they are today.

Ganderite that is what I remember them going for not that long ago about $1000 and the dewats were going for $1500. Now they are asking $1500 to $2000 for the 12.3

Yeah that one at EPPS has been there for quite some time. Actually I think it belonged to some one I knew who passed away. I have been keeping an eye on it hoping they would drop the price. You also gotta make sure the RCMP have already examined it or you wont see it for three years.

Not so. I purchased a VZ 58 this year and the RCMP had me ship it to Epps (or any other recognized gunsmith)for any updates to the 12.3 conversion. I had it back after the work in 3 weeks.

OK well I had bought a VZ58 at EPPS It was gone to the Lab for over three years and then back to EPP's for updating which took another couple of months. Think it was close to 40 months before I got it. Just got it back earlier this year. The lab may have already seen yours . Those transfers only take a couple of weeks.
