Hi Y'all, i'm trying to find values for the following mint/unfired NIB w/papers rifles:
1. [FONT=&quot]Winchester Little Big Horn Centennial 1876-1976. Winchester - R - Model 94 44-40 WIN Lever.

RCMP, $750, 900 if you find the right person.
If it was the service issued to, RNWMP on serial number, maybe $1200.
I am guessing, arn't we all, the Little Bighorn may be 600-700.

The question is:
Who wants these things?

Actually, they make pretty good shooters. And they are pre-cross bolt safety.

I prefer the non-gold plated ones and only in .30-30 Win, though.

Maybe the blue book would be interested in purchasing these firearms ??? Book values have no accuracy when it comes to market value in today;s markets U.S. or canadian.

I'll also mention that I acquired 3 of them. Two 20" barrel carbines [Cowboy & Bat Masterson] & one 16" trapper length barrel [Legendary Lawmen]. All are saddle ring carbines. Two were unfired with boxes, one fired with no box. Paid $300-$400 each for 'em. I bought them to shoot, though. As I said, they make good shooters.

I was out this morning shooting my John Wayne Commemorative in .32-40 and you are correct, they are very good shooters. I do prefer the silver/grey finish though myself.

+1

My "Bat Masterson" & "Legendary Lawmen" are a kinda pewder grey finish. The "Cowboy" a dull nickel. IMHO the gold colored commemoratives are hideous.

Thank You all for your valuable input.I'm not selling them,in fact, they are being gifted to us, i just had no idea of the values. Thanks again guys, i will post when i recieve them & will likely shoot the 30/30, the LBH 44/40 will be my better half's & she wants to keep it unfired,........... for now:) SgtRock

I generally pay 400-600 for either. They are pretty common.

Always very hard to sell. Most people want a gun they can shoot. They won't buy these because shooting them hurts the collector value.

The gold plated ones are even harder to sell.

I have a Comanchee Carbine in 30/30.
Previous owner bought it from orriginal owner who bought it to shoot.
Threw away box and book.
I payed $225. but was full of surface rust, had to reblue,
and remove the crappy varnish job.
Looks real nice now.
Awseome groups from home loads.
But it is the fading gold finish model :(
No cross bolt safety though.
