The fifth annual Victoria B.C. M14 Seminar will be held on Sunday, Oct 26th, 2014 (10am to 3pm) at the 53rd annual Victoria Gun Show. The VIACA show is a 2 day gun show, Sat, Oct 26 & Sun, Oct 27.

LOCATION: Saanich Fairgrounds, 1528 Stelly's Crossroad

TIME: Sunday, Oct 26, facilities are open 9:00 AM till 3:00 pm. The M14 seminar will run 10:00AM - 3:00 PM. M14 seminar attendees are encouraged to show up early Sunday morning to take in the general gun show, stop by the table, get some one on one advice and generally ask questions.

COST: Entrance to the VIACA Gun Show, $5.00. M14.ca Seminar fee: $0.00

ATTENDANCE: Limited to ten, as that is about all we can fit comfortably. We will need your full name and tel. no. to reserve your seat. Please email info@m14.ca to reserve. If you can't make it, please send a follow up email so that some one else can take your seat.

ABOUT: This hands on seminar will cover the basics of the M14: INSPECTION, MAINTENANCE, REPAIR, AND MODIFICATIONS. We will have a receiver wrench, barrel vice, headspace gauges, and other tools to share but this is a do it yourself course, so be prepared to do your own work, on your own M14. There should be plenty of time for everyone to do barrel changes, re-indexing, lapping in of GI bolts, scope mounting, and whatever other tweaks and tricks desired. Bring your M14, or if you don’t have a 14 yet, bring yourself, your questions, any M14 tools or parts you do have, and anything M14 related you want to sell or trade. This is a gunshow …. there will be things to buy/sell/trade.

NOTE: This seminar is an independent event, and is not affiliated with VIACA [ Vancouver Island Arms Collectors Association ] or The Upgrade Path Inc.. This seminar will be facilitated by a former gunsmith and the owner of M14.ca. Participants are expected to contribute to the ongoing dialog and share their experience with the M14 type rifles.

SAFETY: VIACA show safety rules mandate that:

1.] NO AMMUNITION WHATSOEVER IS ALLOWED AT THE SEMINAR. NO live rounds, no dummy rounds, nothing at all that even looks like ammunition.

2.] All firearms handling will be done with the muzzle pointed in the designated safe direction.

Course material will be e-mailed to confirmed attendees. So as to not waste time on subjects covered by the course material, please read this material in advance.

Any questions, please PM, email info@m14.ca or call me as below.

Thank-you.

Just want to take this opportunity to thank Larry and Frank again for hosting today's clinic. A good time was had by all and I even managed to pick up a pretty sweet wood stock for my M305. Highly recommend this clinic for anyone new to the platform.

Thanks, Craig.

An excellent 'hands on' clinic, and well managed by Larry and Frank. A lot of information was imparted, and its quite humbling in places when listening to Larry's knowledge, as to how little i knew about the rifle and how to maintain it.

If you own one, go to the next clinic, you'll be sure to learn a lot.

Candocad.

To echo Candocad and Visleguy about the course, I am very glad I took the trip from the lower mainland to attend the course. Very good information imparted on me. Larry and Frank definitely gave me an itch to want to tinker with the M14.

For those on mainland and who are interested or have a M14, go to the seminar. Frank and Larry are more than willing to answer any questions and walk you through anything.

I very much look forward to the next course/seminar that Frank and Larry host.

Thank you,
Irwin
