Vang Comp Mag Ext Issue

I am hoping someone on the forum can assist. My setup is Remington Police with Vang Comp +2 mag extension.

Here is the issue, the mag should now hold 6 rounds, but it will only hold 5. Something is getting caught up in the mag tube and I can not figure out what the issue is? It seems to be where the follower is transitioning from the mag tube to the extension.

I have tried changing mag followers from a Van Comp to a SJ and still the same issue. I have ruled out Spring length and there is no crimp on this model. I have also checked for any burrs. The weird thing is I have been able to get the 6th round in occasionally, but then it goes back to catching on something and back to accepting 5.

Anyone have an idea of what this could be catching it and stopping the 6th round from entering the mag?

Tried two different springs. I am pretty sure the hold up is in the follower getting stuck at the ext joint. I just don't know how to fix it.

wilth a that tried then the issue is with you gun. or the +2 mag tube.
I take you have tried the set up wit ha factory Remington follower just to make sure?

Yes, I have also tried your follower. I think the spring is binding at an angle that is making the follower catch on the lip of the ext or Mag tube where they meet. I am going to try polishing them to see if that helps.

Chamfer/Radius both ends of the follower (if its plastic) and see if the binding disappears.
Try swapping out original follower and see if issue goes away.

I have the same issue with a vang comp +1 ext on a Mossberg 930, some ammo it will hold 5,others only 4.

so it could be tolerances are too tight, try different brands of ammo.

I tried a couple different ammo types. Same problem. I got a new/better spring and bam, problem solved. Thanks for the help.
