Vang Comp System or Chokes for 3-gun?

I've decided on a Mossberg 590A1 with the 20" barrel and 8+1 capacity for my next shotgun. I will use it for everything from 3-gun to recreational clay shooting to back country bear defense. So now the question is, Vang Comp or threaded for chokes or both? And if chokes, which? Leaning towards Rem Chokes as they seem more prevalent. From the reading I've done it seems the Vang Comp will work well for 3-gun but it seems like there is a POI shift when shooting slugs. How big a deal is this likely to be?

Chokes offer more flexibility which you are going to need for 3gun.

Mr Mebiuspower gives good advice. Chokes are the way to go for 3 gun. Remchokes are easy to find and can be installed if the barrel is thick enough.

Thanks Casey. Do you know if the barrel on a Mossberg 590A1 is thick enough to install chokes? And which chokes will I want to purchase for 3-gun?

All of the Mossberg 590A1s we have had in the shop can be threaded for Remchokes. If one happens to be too thin for Remchokes, we can thread for Truchokes.
Most of our customers buy Imp Cyl and Mod constrictions. of course you want to have the barrel threaded before you buy the tubes to make sure you get the right type.
