My local Gun shop has the Weatherby Vanguard (blued/synthetic)with Bushnell Elite 3200. It comes in any of the orderable calibers.

William's Arms in Port Perry has a similar deal on right now for $675, scope installed.
Don't know if it just applies to what is in stock or not though.
I bought one for the wife at that price in February.
 
I would double check the scope as well. You want the 3200. I bought a Vanguard off of EE. I really like the way the stock fits me, despite preferring wood hands down. I like the dual taper very much. I think that they are a good deal for the money. If the combo comes with a Banner, I would buy the naked rifle and install a bit better of a scope.
 
And the boys at WWS will offer you one complete with Banner scope, leupold rings, sling, and hardcase for the low price of $679. Oh ya, the scope comes mounted, and bore sighted too, for what it matters. As well, Stainless in same package for less than $100 more.
 
Not that I'm a big fan of the 3200 Elite, but the prices that you guys are quoting sure seems like a good deal :) I'm would be the farm on the "aleady mounted" deal though, so my advice would be to take it off and re-mount yourself. I've heard to many horror stories to put my faith in "whoever" that may be that mounted the scope.
 
I cant find any out here that come with the elite!
Acctually I cant find any of the combo deals out here period. As mentioned WWS does sell the combo with the banner but for $20 I'll take the elite. Even weatherby's web site says the package comes with the Banner. Looked at the Williams web site and unfortunatly they dont have a 338 listed.
 
I owned a Weatherby Vanguard blued synthetic in .257 Weatherby, and it was a very accurate shooter. Mine shot well under an inch for 3 shots at 100 yds with the factory Weatherby 115 grain load. I think these rifles represent excellent value.

I just purchased the Vanguard in 223 caliber. It does come with the Bushnell 3200 Elite. I paid $649 plus tax for mine. My first rifle and I chose it because of the info I gathered on this site.
I bought mine from GK Archery in Wallaceburg Ont.

My wife's came well mounted.
The gun is shooting 3/4 " groups at 100m after being sighted in.
I can't speak for the quality of mounts but the mounting job was fine.
