Does anyone here have one of these kits in their vanguard 2? I can't get the magazine to lock into place?

I have a 270 Win and a 6.5 Creedmoor.

I'm pretty sure I have a Weatherby brand floorplate kit and mag in my 270, might have the ATI kit in my 6.5.

Both work without issue, even in winter. I have several 3 and 5 round mags for the 270, and I have some 5 and 10 round mags for the 6.5.

I'd be interested to try out another mag in your rifle. Might determine if it's a dud magazine, or if it's a problem with the mag well attachment.

I'll see if I can take some pics tonight for you of the mags and the inside of my magwell. Maybe you can compare to yours and might be able to see what the issue is.

Thanks again for the help guys. I took it out and reinstalled it with the mag in and when I popped the mag back out it will not lock in?

Take the action out of the stock, put the trigger guard in the stock (no screws, obviously). Does it click in now?

If so, the trigger guard is seating too deeply. Do you have an aftermarket stock?

You will get mixed reviews on these....I got the 10 round conversion for 223 and I can't say it's $140 of "worth it" to me.
3 things I don't like about it..
--Mag release is on the front and easy to accidently pop the mag out... major design flaw.
--Trigger guard is pretty tiny compared to OEM.
--Made out of very cheap, low grade plastic. Not MAGPUL grade or even close, but more like dollar store toy plastic.
It does work, which is a positive. I went back to OEM though, the kit is sitting in the "why did I buy this" box.... I'd rather have 5 rounds in the OEM mag then 10 on the ground.

Yes it clicks in doing that. Doesn't have an aftermarket stock.
