Vanguard RC In 300 Win Mag Require Opinions?

Are you looking at new or used?
I have four Vanguard II's and they are great rifles.
I would suggest that range certified models command an "un-necessary" premium, at least on a new rifle. The "non-certified" are every bit as accurate, there just wasn't somebody at Weatherby that shot them until they came up with the best load.
In general it's really tough to go wrong with a Vanguard. Not many rifles on the market that can match the fit/finish/quality at anywhere near the same pricepoint.

I have been researching and shopping for about 4 months now and I would have to agree with your comment that I have bolded.
Apparently the one I am looking at was Range Certified with and preferred the Barnes TTSX - Tipped Triple Shock 180 Gr. I think I'll buy it! Look out elk, moose and such hehe

All reports put them as the top...so called "value" rifle. Have not heard anyone say anything bad about them.
"value" lol they are 800-950 depending where you get them. Similar price points as tikka. The Axis, and ruger American are "value" guns lol.
If you like the stock on the RC model, go for it!
If it was me the RC stock doesn't fit me the greatest, so I'd just by the Vanguard II and get a new stock. Depending on the stock it'd be about the same or a little more $, but then I get a nice stock. Factory stock isn't bad, but not what I'd call great either.

No body from CGN has ponied up and paid the premium price yet.. That's why no bad reports,lol.
I like the Wby Vangard line, lots to choose from and they look ok too for the most part.
Except the one kamlooky buys.They look like they are going to burst into flame at an moment
The only draw back I have is they can be a bit heavy for caliber , but if that what's not to like then one has to spend more...much more to get a lighter rifle in as good a well priced Wby.Vangaurd rifle.If it fits wel and the heft isn't to bad then Bobs yer Uncle and buy it, enjoy it and got get a Moose,

Boxing Day which is only a few weeks away hehe. $250.00 off their price so I will pick it up for $950.00. That is a SMOKING DEAL, especially on a RC Weatherby.
)The rifle weights 7 and 3/4 lbs. and with my scope it will weigh 10 1/4 lbs. That isn't bad considering I will be able to shoot anything in North America a very long ways out there
