Vanguard triggers

I have a weatherby vanguard series1 , what is the best value for after market triggers ?

A newer HACT 2 trigger.

The most cost effective is a little judicious stoning/polishing of the sear engagement surfaces and front face of the trigger. The L sear can usually be left alone. It’s hard to beat free.

There is a video on youtube on how to shorten one of the internal springs to lighten pull.

I think trigger tech is coming out with a vanguard option....

I tried all the different suggestions on the Forums and on Youtube. But basically the Vanguard trigger is pretty ####e - cant make a silk purse out of a sows ear. So I forked out for a Timney, different rifle, super accurate and easy to use.

Thanks all. I have watch the youtube videos and have found a Timney . I think i might try the trigger job and if that fails , then fork out the cash for aftermarket .

I know I am going against the trend, but I have never been in awe of Timney triggers. I currently have several Howas/Vanguards, the HACT (their newest) trigger is the best of the three I have. I did a trigger job, and clean on one old model trigger, and it came out much better, some 5000 grit paper etc, much nicer. I put in a timney, and meh, is the best I can muster. The newer factory triggers seem much better.

The two stage Vanguard triggers are very nice.

Timneys are hit and miss IMO. I've had some rough ones.
