Vanguard Weight Reduction

I think a few of the Boyd's stocks are a little lighter than the original Vanguard, maybe someone has some info on recent Boyd's purchases? I think I shaved about 8 ounces off with a mag kit and a Boyd's stock but that was a Vanguard 1 and a few years ago.

Boyd's current production laminated stocks are literally the heaviest stocks you can put on a gun. (Maybe some of those chassis thtings are heavier... maybe). Nice, but like going for a swim with an anvil in your trunks.

I feel they're best for big walloping calibers.
