Just wondering if anyone else out there has had issues with a Night Force reticle vanishing (becoming invisible) on them.

I look at my target and the reticle is there. Then the reticle slowly starts to fade. If I look out of the scope and then back through the scope the reticle will be visible again. But it will fade faster then the first time. Eventually I can't see the friggen thing at all and end up taking shots using the force.

The problem is more pronounced as the magnification increases. With a sight picture such as lined targets the problem is also more pronounced.

My shooting pals can see the reticle just fine, all the time.

Yes, I have put quite a bit of effort into adjusting the dioptor focus. Followed the instructions numerous times.

Called Night Force and they said to turn up the illumination. No help?

Even went and got eye glasses. No help?

It's not a defective scope because I've got two of them (5.5-22 x 56 NXS). Same thing with both?

Ya, I understand the problem is with my eye, but just hoping someone has a solution.

Thanks

Yup, your optometrist.

1) Look through your scope at something with no image in it, such as the sky or a blank wall.

2) Now adjust the focus of the scope until the reticule is sharp.

3) Look away for a few seconds, and then look through the scope again.

If, immediately upon looking through the scope, the reticule is sharp and stays sharp as you continue to look through the scope, you are done.

If not, repeat steps 1 - 3 until you are done.

Pretty simple, really, takes less than a minute, and much cheaper than a trip to your optometrist! :D

Exactly. adjust the focus of the scope though, not the paralax on the side. This is on the eyepiece.

Try re-focusing the scope as mentioned above.

However, if your shooting buddies can see the reticle(s) fine, and you are the only one having issues, I would suspect you may have an eye problem.
Perhaps you need corrective lenses, or there may be a medical issue with you eye(s).
I would strongly recommend you make an appointment with an optometrist and have your eyes checked out.

Naaaaah! It's probably those NF scopes are defective...................... and since there's something wrong with them, I'll take one off your hands for a bargain price!!!! LOL

Ha Ha Ha....

Tried all that gents, thanks for the help though.

Like I said, went to the eye doctor and got the corrective glasses.

They both just might be heading for the exchange form.

The real funny thing is my 200 dollar bushnell on my .22 works just fine, all the time?

Any one else out there, with some comments?
