Varget, .270 Win., Light bullets...?

Just do it. Let us know how they work. I was going to try H4831 with the 110 gr TTSX as I have had good results with my 110 gr V-max loads in terms of accuracy, but I think Varget would get you some good speed.

Oh, I likely will :), just thought I'd read some stories about it first.

I've used Varget with 90-110 gr bullets. Good enough for coyote smashing, but I wasn't able to get much better than 1.5" or so at 100m. I found H4350 is best in my .270 for any of the lighter bullets and H4831 for anything 120gr and up

I tried H414 but couldn't get any decent groupings till I switched to varget.
With my savage 111 I use 48grains varget and it shoots hornady and speer hollowpoints through the same hole at 100 yards.

I've used Varget with Hornady 110gr V-Max, Sierra 110gr MatchKing and Barnes 110gr TSX, all with great accuracy.
My experience with Varget is that it's almost always accurate but loading density is low with 270 Win 110gr TSX and you should use H4350 instead (I almost blew up a rifle because of a faulty electronic scale with Varget and 110gr bullets)!!!

A 110gr V-Max is instant death on any varmint at any reasonable range and the 110gr TSX is deer dynamite (3400fps).
