With the price of powder, bullets, primers, and brass it may be time to rethink my hobby of shooting.

If I don't practice, develop accurate loads, confirm drop and windage ... a box of 20 rounds could last me easily 10 years for moose hunting AND there will no longer be a desire to buy multiple guns each year saving me a crap load of money! :)

Ha, nothing like an industry cutting off the hand that feeds it! LOL

Yup, nothing like the gun industry destroying itself from inside. It’s not like we’re going good politically so let #### people up with 60% margins.

The pricing is what it is today. The thing that I question the most, and have seen a bit lately is offering better pricing on fairly large quantities as in 10 pounds or more in this case and 10 thousand primers in a Different case. These are items that lots of people are looking for. Why not a limit on quantities per purchase to spread the wealth a little?

Greed…,people will buy as much as they can then post it for sale a incredible mark ups. I’ve brought up before and to my surprise a lot if people are okay with that. I walked into Cabela’s thus summer and asked if they had any powder, they said “just Varget $54.95 a lb.“ so I said okay I’ll take one. It’s all I needed, I don’t need to try and get rich off the backs of my fellow shooters.
Makes me wonder what these people would do if disaster struck us and food and water were in short supply. Karma?

If they were local I’d Buy it. Not having what you need is worse than inflated prices. And those prices are on par with the BS that today is with hazmat and all the other junk. IMO

Exactly, greed.

Those same people will sell you a loaf of bread for $200.00 or a bottle of water for $50.00.

Greed is a terrible thing!

Ask a Liberal......:(

Other site sponsors are selling it for $130 a pound. So $90 isn’t that bad. Still more than I’m willing to pay for it.

I have had to try developing loads with H4895, IMR 4064 and Accurate 2520 but those are not going to be anywhere near as temperature stable in the winter months, still an alternative for April-November in Manitoba.

Do you want to live by Capitalism or Communism?

I'm all for capitalism, however the current situation is not a result of capitalism.

I'm sure that you are happy sitting on your 20 Costco size packs of toilet paper. Just because it's capitalist doesn't mean that it's right. You don't have to say screw your neighbour just because of capitalism.

That works out to 135% mark up. Frontier's price of $90.00 per pound was bad enough.

Now $130.00 per pound.

What's next?

Trade your first born for a pound of Varget?

Shame on ANY and ALL retailers that are price gouging people for powder. We keep you in business. Thankfully for these retaillers theres enough desperate morons out there to pay ridiculous markup. When they have to choose between food on the table getting ripped at the gunshop things may change drastically.
