Variations of the 30-30

To what purpose? If target shooting, It's been shortened, if hunting, there's 25 - 35, 7 - 30 waters, 32 - 40, 32 special, it's been wildcatted to .33 and .35, there's 38 - 55 and .375 Wincester. You should be able to find something interesting, especially if you're a cast bullet shooter

The 30/30 Improved makes for a very nice case/cartridge, but most folks didn't/don't want to spend that kind of money on their '94.

In Sam Fadala's book "Winchester's 30-30, Model 94" he tells of having a custom M94 made up by gunsmith Dale Storey and re-chambered to the .30-30 Improved. I quote: "There is no great improvement in raw ballistics that I can uncover." And "...I have ended up using the same loads I've always used in my handloaded .30-30 ammunition."
