Any issues with the glue on your gun's finish?
Do you prep before applying?
Will a simple solvent treatment remove the old glue if you decide to take it off?

S&J Hardware's come with alcohol swabs that I have used for the prep work. They certainly help as I haven't had any issues with the adhesive not performing.

Beware. If you're gonna leave it there for good, great. I bought a 590 from a member here and wanted it stock for a scabbard. Glue was a bit rough to get off and left a permanent mark in the parkerized finish. Hate those things. It's a deal breaker for me if I see one on a gun I want to purchase.

If the MFG or person uses real deal "Velcro brand products" you will not have that issue on your finish when you will remove .
This is one of the reason we only use the real stuff.
prep and clean with bad provided, then let dry.
Then place the stock Velcro when you want it, press firmly, then leave 30 mins to allow for adhesive to take hold before placing the shot shell card.
