Velo-Dog

I don't have any experience with the Velo-Dog, but I wanted to let you know that I do have cartridge dimension information. Unfortunately, there are no powder weights included. However, since the cartridge is about a .25 (it comes in slightly different dimensions) caliber, you could probably load it to .25 ACP levels, starting low. In any event you're addressing a low-power cartridge and don't want to try to make it something it isn't, namely a high-velocity cartridge. It was meant for people to use on dogs from their new bicycles, around the turn of the century, and mostly to scare them. If you want to email me -- dp1959@ns.sympatico.ca -- I'll email the pages I do have. Just be very careful about keeping powder weights low. The gun just won't handle overloading.

Looked it up in Donnelly.
"There is nothing that will form to this case. Cases can be made from solid brass, annealed, trimmed to length and F/L sized. Also, we have made cases by using 1/4" tubing to rebody a .25ACP case head."
The second method sounds easier.
45gr. bullet, 4.7 Unique, 650fps. (4.7gr. of Unique sounds a bit snappy to me.)
Case length - 1.12
Head Diameter - .253
Rim Diameter - .308
Neck Diameter - .248
Loaded Length - 1.35
Rim Thickness - .07
Bullet Diameter given as .225
