Velocity Info

Can someone give the approx muzzle velocity of 45 gr of RE 19 pushing a 107 gr bullet down the 24" barrel of a .260 Rem?

Nosler # 6 says: RL19 , 45 grains , 120 grain lead = 2860 fps in a 24" test barrell. Not real acurate but it willl give you an idea.

According to Quickload:

2908fps at ~ 45310psi(~75% of max pressure i.e. gentle load)

This was for Rem .260, .264, 107gn, Sierra HPBT MatchK 1715, and OAL 2.8. and RL19=45gn

Load Density is 101% = compressed.

should be very mild. I shoot 46 grains behind a 130 grain Accubond for 2850 f/s in a 23" tube. I also load 42 grains Varget for 3120 f/s with the 107 Sierra

buy a chronograph, they're helpful
