I was interested in getting one of these since the announcement. So whats the verdict on the kit? I was talking to a guy at my range and he said his conversion tends to jam alot. Ive also heard about the bolt staying open during rapid fire sessions.

So how does yours perform?

My Marauder kit itself is great! Very well made, solid and looks good. I still haven't found the magic to get the mags working, but as long as I use factory 10 rounders everything functions 100% (and is easier to shoot off a bench too).

Once I get the mags sorted out and color the fake safety markings (any tips on this would be welcome btw) it'll be in my top three favorite can rollers for sure. :)

Ive also heard the stainless rugers (i have one) do not fit as nicely because they seem to be a little bit over sized compared to their blued sibling. Is this true?

I put the Marauder/Nomad kit on four 10/22 including a stainless version no problems. The new version two mags do work better. For the people that are having feeding concerns with the Marauder mags try using any 40 grain solid round nose cartridges, stay away from 36 grain hollow points. This is a great kit.

I used a stainless 10/22 on my Marauder kit. I was kind of concerned about the appearance but I think it looks good now that it is together. It was definitely a tight fit. I thought I might have to remove a bit of stock material but not knowing any better I just persisted and got it together.

I had issues with the mag when it was new. If you took off the cover it worked fine. Cover on and it jammed a lot. However, I have worked the mag (cover on) in and out a lot and now it doesn't jam at all. It also snaps into the receiver nice and smooth now.

In terms of was it worth it. Yes. It is a cool little gun to shoot and everyone wanders over and asks about it, especially the MW guys, lol. I enjoyed putting it together in spite of the tight fit. Trying to think of how else to mod it now.

tips on how to color in the selector markings?

I used 'one-shot' pin stripers paint but testors model paint works too. use a fine brush and paint the markings generously. dont be to worried about getting out side the lines/grooves. then simply use the corner of a rag or cloth (an old T-shirt is best) dipped LIGHTLY in MINERAL SPIRITS and lightly begin dabbing away the unwanted paint on the raised portions while constantly using a fresh corner of cloth. it will take awhile but so long as your careful, going slow and not SOAKING your rag and slopping the spirits all over, youll be fine. if you mess it up, wipe it clean and try again.

Never slop your spirits all over.
This is a pretty ###y kit, what's it worth?
Hical I'm in mission also, do you have these things in stock, what other 10/22 goodies do you have. Your website isn't working right now.
