Anybody has seen these shotguns here?

I heard positive comments about them from Europe but I have yet to see one.

Does anyone import them to Canada?

 They have been imported into Canada. Sales were very poor because the lack of bells and whistles associated with competition guns. The company is mainly a machining outfit. Even the French don't shoot the guns! For a quality shotgun from France, check out Rene Chapuis at www.chapuis-armes.com
Chapuis has over 120 employed making more African guns than anyone else. He also stocks a warehouse of over 15,000 sq Ft of hand-picked Turkey wallnut. The plant is spotless with veryone wearing labcoats. He has 3 tunnels to adjust the drillings and other guns, as well as being an approoved proof house (one of few in Europe).

It is a good visit except on Friday when they close early. Anyone wanting to see what a real great gunmaking operation is, should visit. Mention my name, and you might get a fantastic lunch at a Relais et Chateau near Chateau Bonnet!:p

Best regards,
Henry;)

When I was a little boy, the Verney-Carron shotguns were considered very fine firearms.
This has changed and today, with many cost-cuting measures, they are not seen very often on the market.
If you can put your hands on an early one, circa 1950-60, you might be surprised by the quality and fitting.

I have in Lebanon, a Verney-Carron O/U given to me by my Uncle. I have rarely seen such a fine and smooth designed shotgun. This one was purchased in 1970 for about 100 USD at the time. You cant find a used one under 2000 USD in Lebanon. Needless to say that this shotgun will go to my son.

cheers
