Versa Max R12 Vs Beretta 1301 Tactical, which one?

Benelli M4

Not really worth the extra $1000.

Well now, that's subjective. For what I need a semi-auto shotgun to do, the oh-so-###y 1301 is more than enough gun at a very reasonable price that left me still having a budget for accessories. Plus I have a strong dislike for the collapsable stock on the M4, which seems to be the only way they come now.

That said, I'd never argue with anyone that had deeper pockets than I do and was willing to pony up an extra grand to get that extra 5 or 10% of an edge over the Beretta. There is little doubt that the M4 is the most durable 12 ga. semi on the market and it had the military pedigree to back it up. To me that's not worth a thousand of my hard earned dollars but to some it is.... The world would be a boring place if we all liked the exact same stuff!

That's awesome! Congrats! Seeing as you are now down the rabbit hole, might I also suggest the Aridus Industries ASA-1301 stock adapter and a Magpul SGA buttstock to accompany it? Not at all necessary as the 1301 is a great handling and great shooting gun on its own, but the Magpul really finishes the gun nicely. ;)

Done and done! Casey had an adapter and Select Shooting Supplies had a stock. Going to be near the old M4 pricing when I'm done but that's alright with me! Spent enough time behind the Benelli to know what I'm missing.

Will update with some pics when everything is together next weekend. Hoping the FDE on the Magpul is close or I might end up with another 590, hahaha

I wouldn’t argue against anyone that could afford the M4 either. But for me(and I have shot an M4 a few times) the firearms have very little difference except for the drastic difference in price. I suspect you and I are like most others too, a 1301 is more than enough anyway.

Canada Post is brrrrrutal these days but everything showed up! Hoping to do some testing this weekend.

Thanks for the reco's all!!

Beretta FDE is a little darker (in a good way!) so I might give the stock a coat of Aervoe field drab.

Dusticles, a very nice setup. I went the other way and bought a Versa Max R12. Waiting for Canada Post to deliver it. It is supposed to arrive yesterday, but now their tracking says Delivery Date Pending, without any indication of when! What is your Canada Post horror story?

They like to hide your parcels in Stoney Creek for a week or 2.

Where to get the mag tube extension?
Thanks

TacOrd had the kit though I would question the plug that was recommended.

I'm going to pull it apart this weekend, I can only get 5 x 2-3/4" shells in it. Not looking forward to pulling the spring though, the one in the kit is rrrrrrandy! Might be the problem now that I think about it, maybe they dropped one in for a longer tube. Was hell getting the cap on

How many shells do you think it is supposed to hold? Pulling the spring is not that difficult I do it all the time with one hand, I have the same Aridus Industries +2 kit from Tacord.

Mr Dusticles, did you cut the spring as per the instructions.... Nordic uses a generic spring length for all their extensions from +1 to +9. They need to be cut as they are waaaaaaaaaay too long for most lenghts.

Call me if you have any issues as I am happy to help any time.

We have most all Nordic shotgun extensions and other shotgun items in stock EXCEPT we have sold out of the 1301 Tactical kit. I have more on order. Email me if you wish us to let you know when they come in.
