Versa Max (Sportsman) White Bead removal~help! **SOLVED!**

Not surprised to read that I suppose, but as a person who runs a production/manufacturing shop myself..I'm always immensely impressed with how clean and organized (and seemingly well-equipped) Casey's shop is. I've seen restaurant kitchens that aren't half as clean! lol Great experience as always.

Why would you be surprised?? I was wrong remember :)
When you are 5 - 7 miles underground and away from your shop you keep it as clean as you can and do a hell of a lot of work with a big adjustable, a pair of vice grips and a hammer
So no big deal doing items like your barrel with grips when you have to
Cheers

^I can't even imagine what that would be like...yikes! For me and this barrel, getting the old bead/base off certainly wasn't ever going to be impossible with the equipment I have at my disposal...but...achieving that and still liking what my barrel looks like~no guarantees. :) I know how to change the oil in my car too, but like people who trust me in my business~there are times to trust a professional with the job.

Thanks to everyone who chimed in. Now we'll see if the turkeys approve of this sight modification. :) I know the barn pigeons I have to contend with in the weeks that follow sure won't!

It is ALL what one gets familiar with. It wasn't until the mines closed and I took another job in an office did I realize how dangerous it was
To each their own on the professional part
Growing up dirt poor we had no option and had to try to fix everything we owned and did.
Always lived by if one man can do it so can I. Some day that will bite me but so what and don't think for one minute I am not fussy
There are bolts on the old cars I tape before even a wrench goes on them so I don't mark them. No vice grips there :)
Good luck with the turkey hunting
Cheers
