Very little luck doing this but I am going to work on this little project and see if I can get more consistent results. A spotter following the swirl would help.

Not something you need to do everday but a fun experiment.

Yeah and I wish I had a few more 2 3/4 on hand. Not logical to have someone track a slug with a long range bolt gun but fun. Really I am hoping to get 200 yards down but this is a fun little trial.

Nice work. Looks cold out lol. Shotgun is maybe the best all around firearm ymmv? why not work on the far end capabilities.

I was watching Iraq Veteran do a how far will it kill test with slugs and Hickock45 doing a 280yrd, so nice to see a canuck doing it..

I took a bunch of potshots at a 12" plate at about 300 with some score slugs. Just a front bead on my beretta a400, and it was really difficult trying to figure out where to hold, given that the entire target was covered by the barrel. No way I'd be able to get any sort of consistency. Maybe if I had some kind of graduated scale behind/above the target I'd be able to have a hold over point of reference...

Try it with the mag tube clamp off.

My VMT has significant POA/POI discrepancy with the clamp on.

I've rung a gong at 200yrds with slugs. I think I had to hold over like 18". If the lighting is right, you can actually see the slug flying towards the target.
