Anyone own one, was going to get the new Winchester SX4 but after shouldering the versamax yesterday I think I have changed my mind. A bit more cash for the versamax but it fit great and felt awesome in the hands.

I bought one this past fall. Haven't shot it a bunch with deer season, Christmas etc, but I can't wait to pattern it and get it set up. Definitely a soft shooter, and I like the feel of them a lot myself.

My only complaint so far is that they didn't use the rem choke for them. Only because I have a bunch of aftermarket rem chokes I coulda used instead of possibly needing more. (Mine did come with 5chokes though)

I have two The tactical and the 26 inch one for 3 gun. Simply amazing worth every cent and the resale is amazing one these guns +1

I've had mine since the first year out. Never had a single problem shooting 3 1/2" to light skeet. Have tried a few "B" guns, and my Versamax wins hands down for me. Softest shooting gun I have ever used.

I have owned 3 since there release. Totally dead nuts reliable, any round any time. Never not one ever fail. Softest shooting 12G semi I have ever used. Currently using and abusing a waterfowl pro and will never give it up. The only fault I could see for some might be that they are a full size shotgun and smaller types may have fitment issues. Good luck with your choice.

I just bought one two days ago. 28 inch Sportsman in DuckBlind. First thing I did was grab my bag of random leftovers and start feeding it and it ate everything from 2 3/4 low brass cheap Walmart crap to high brass 3 inch BB. Next time I'm in the city I'm going to buy some 3 1/2 inch to try in it. So far I'm impressed, all empties ejected strongly at about 2:00 and they all flew about ten feet regardless of load and it didn't punish my shoulder.
I do wish it came with some more chokes but they didn't have any in camo that came with the hard case and choke kit other than the pro and I wasn't going to spend that much more for it.
I'm looking forward to finding a full choke for it and going for geese this fall :)

hunted waterfowl with one for three seasons now, eats anything you feed it, even light 1oz loads, very soft on shoulder, zero problems. the gun shot a little low for me, so I changed the stock insert to one little higher , now its perfect. I would buy another versa max in a min
